Okay so here we go. This is my first blog post and I'd like to touch the most vital process for me while using my phone i.e. Which wallpaper should I keep for the day?
This might not be the case with you, but who doesn't like High-resolution, classy and free(most important reason to focus on) everyday? Nowadays, the phone resolutions are growing day-by-day and one has to decorate his/her phone's facade. So, right after the external accessories it's responsibility of your phone's home screen to beautify the phone. Since, there are many articles and posts on the internet about various apps on different Operating systems, which give you wallpapers. But, they are kind of mainstream, aren't they? Plus many a times they have issues like wrong resolutions which either lead to distortions and pixelation, there is a solid alternative for that. Yes that's what I'm trying to talk about since last few lines: Stock photos!
What are stock photos?
Stock photography is the supply of photographs, which are often licensed for specific uses. It is used to fulfill the needs of creative assignments instead of hiring a photographer, often for a lower cost. Today, stock images can be presented in searchable online databases. They can be purchased and delivered online. [Wikipedia]
Why stock photos as wallpapers?
Stock photos are usually captured by professional photographers across the world with best camera equipments in the market. So, there is no problem of resolution on any of your device. Plus many sites offer free stock photos so downloading them isn't that hard.
Now, I'd like to share three sites which I have personally used whenever I needed some different photographic wallpapers. Visit each of them to find out some cool stuff for your phones as well as desktops.
1. UNSPLASH by CREW:
This is definitely The Best site in this category, as there are thousand's of photos already available. Most of the photos that are on Unsplash are uploaded with the intention of multipurpose use. So, they can directly go as your wallpapers on your various devices. They upload 10photos/week so the collection is growing week by week. There is also a search function which can show you some specific set of wallpapers. So, my recommendation is Just go there right now and have a look.
2. GRATISOGRAPHY by BELLS DESIGN:
This is second website in today's list and it's all one man show. Made by Bells design, all the photographs on Gratisography are captured by Ryan Mcguire. They are divided into different categories for easier navigation and there is also a Magic search function. Categories make it easier for faster navigation and also loads up only those photos in which you're insterested. I'd say just go and do some magic search!
3. STOCKSNAP by SNAPPA:
This site is third in the list and the reason is the huge amount of photos. Yes, they have a large number of photos and it somehow makes it harder to search for your desired photos if you're new on the site. There are various filtering methods available such as filter according to your search or number of downloads or trending photos etc. You can also sign up on stocksnap to get features like uploading your own photos, adding your favourites etc.
Folks, that's all for today. You can share this post if you like it and follow me on my social networking accounts, the links are given in the sidebar or in the footer.
